Polling Place Hours

Polling Places are open:

How to Vote

At your assigned Polling Place, you will be asked for your name and address and you will be looked up on an Electronic Poll Pad.  Once your name is found, you will be provided with a paper ballot that contains the contests that you are eligible to vote on.  After you have voted, you will deposit your voted ballot in a green ballot box.  Alternatively, you may elect use a Ballot Marking Device to mark your choices and print your ballot.

Voter ID

In most cases, California voters are not required to show identification at their polling place. However, a poll worker may ask to see your identification if you mailed your voter registration application and did not include your California driver license number, California identification number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.

A copy of a recent utility bill, the Voter Information Guide you received from our office, or another document sent to you by a government agency are examples of acceptable forms of identification. Other examples include your passport, driver license, official California identification card, or student identification card.

Provisional Voting

When poll workers cannot immediately determine your eligibility to vote, you have the right to vote a Provisional Ballot. If you vote on a Provisional Ballot, it is returned to the Registrar of Voters and your eligibility to vote is verified. Upon verification, your ballot is counted. If you are found to be ineligible, your ballot is not counted.
