Election Results Reporting
The first election results will be posted after polls close on Election Night, Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
These results will include:
- Mail ballots received and processed before Election Day
- Mail ballots dropped off at official drop boxes and early voting locations through Monday, November 2.
After polls close, ballots from across the county will be securely transported to the central count location for tabulation.
Election Night Updates
Results will be updated by 10 p.m. and a minimum of every two hours thereafter throughout the evening until all in-person ballots have been processed. The Final Unofficial Election Night Results are expected to be posted by early morning, November 4.
You can find the date and time for the next results update on our Election Results Posting Schedule webpage.
Election results must be certified no later than December 3, 2026.

Ballots Processed After Election Night
While Election Night is exciting, it represents only part of the count. Historically, 40–50% of ballots are processed and counted after Election Night. These include:
- Mail Ballots
Mail ballots dropped off at official drop boxes and early voting sites on Election Day, as well as ballots postmarked on or before Election Day and received up to seven days after Election Day. Each ballot must go through signature verification and sorting before it is tabulated. - Provisional Ballots
Provisional ballots are issued to voters whose eligibility must be confirmed before their votes can be counted. Each ballot is reviewed individually to verify registration and prevent duplicate voting. - Damaged Ballot Duplication
Ballots that are damaged or unreadable must be reviewed and, when necessary, duplicated by teams to ensure they can be accurately read by tabulation equipment.
Results Updates and Certification
Results updates will continue throughout the canvass period, which includes:
- Reconciliation of voting materials from all polling locations
- Verification of provisional and conditional voter registration ballots
- A 1% manual tally of randomly selected precincts and mail ballot batches to confirm the accuracy of the tabulation system
You will note that post-Election Day results updates will now be posted no later than 6 p.m. each day. This change allows the Registrar of Voters to extend daily ballot processing and count more ballots before preparing each results update. By dedicating more of each day to ballot processing, we expect to complete the counting of ballots and the canvass sooner while continuing to provide daily results updates.
The canvass will conclude with official certification of results no later than December 3, 2026.
Our Commitment
It is our goal to count every legally cast vote accurately, securely, and transparently. We appreciate your patience as we ensure that all ballots are processed with integrity and care.
