Presidential general elections, in which we elect our next president and vice president, occur every four years. The 2012 Presidential General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. This election will feature federal, state, county, and local offices and measures to appear on the ballot before registered voters.

The San Bernardino County Voter Information Guide and Sample Ballots were delivered by mail October 10-12, and thereafter upon request. The Sample Ballot is customized for a voter’s precinct.   Use the Sample Ballot Look-up Tool [no longer available] to find the Voter Information Guide and Sample Ballot for your address.

State of California Voter Information Guide

The Official State Voter Information Guide [pdf] from the Secretary of State focuses on statewide issues such as State Propositions and Candidate Statements for the U.S. Senate seats.

Voter Registration:

Your voter registration must be postmarked no later than October 22, 2012 for the Presidential General Election.  Visit our Voter Registration page for complete information and instructions.

Voting Options:

There are three ways to vote:

  1. Vote early at the Elections Office
  2. Vote by mail
  3. Vote at the polls on Election Day

Election Results:

Election results will be released to the public on Election Night on our website at 8:15 p.m., 10 p.m., 12 a.m., and every 2 hours on the hour until vote counting is complete. Visit our Election Results page for more information.
